Slip Sliding

Logan has been doing a few new fun things just recently.

Logan likes to slide things along the floor and go with them. It is quite charming to watch! :D His favorite sliding object is a laminated placemat. Logan goes slip sliding along with his 50 states and capitals placemat. He can also do this with certain plastic toys or some pieces of paper.

Another cute thing the boy has been doing is shaking his head "no". He hasn't gotten nodding down, nor does he really associate the shaking head motion with notion of "no", but it does look like he is shaking his head no. :)

Logan has started to kneel and sit back on his heels. This is a handy skill in trying to get up and sit down more gracefully. Logan can also stand for almost 10 seconds, but not every time, and only when he wants to, not if you stand him up.

The most frightening thing is Logan's climbing debut. Logan climbed onto the bottom of the high chair, which sits an inch or two off the ground, but still... YIKES!! He had both hands on the side poles of the high chair, and he just put both feet on the bottom rung. !!! He did look cute there, but I didn't take any chances and pulled him off.

Above is a picture of Logan cruising along from the window ledge from the chair. He doesn't much like to take chances walking without support yet, he would rather sit down safely and crawl lightening-speed to his next desired location!!! :) Unassisted standing is enough of a challenge for now! :)

The other picture is one from late January that I thought I posted but never did. We really like that picture. I think we could dub it "Logan in the Sky with Daddy"! :) Sure beats Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, any day! ;D
