Childrens Museum

Friday, we went to the Children's Museum to hang out with our friends Raquel, Chad & Nathan who were in from out of town. The museum is a beautiful place. They did a very nice job refurbishing an old historic school (the Monroe school) which closed down maybe 10 years ago. Logan enjoyed himself despite my thinking he will like it even more in a year or two or three. :) I won't go back with two small kids unless I have two adults as I managed to lose Logan in the hanging pool noodles section. It was a scary five minutes until he found me! Logan liked the cars area the best (no surprise there!), which is funny since he was glued to a plasma car. Logan got a plasma car for Christmas from Aunt Barb, but unfortunately we don't have a huge paved area like at the museum for him to zoom around in it. He wouldn't give it up to the other kids at the museum. It was pretty funny, actually. I didn't feel too bad about him hogging it because it was one of the few things that he could do by himself at the museum. Logan also liked the "market" area which is like a giant grocery store room for kids. Logan loves shopping carts and food. He also liked being able to "check out" like we do at the real store, with a hand-crank turned conveyor belt. Fun stuff! :) We had a good time!

Later, we met up with AngBob, Raquel & Chad and Amy & Mark for our first visit to Liberty Market (a historic market converted into a restaurant). It is a very cool place and the food was delicious! :) We liked that the owner, Joe, was around chatting and helping to run the place. We also liked that it is family friendly - always important for us! :D
