Mr. Logan has lost another tooth! :) Tooth #3, His front right one. :) He now looks like a pirate!!! :) Hilariously, this tooth has been hanging on by a thread literally for a week or so. Even at the dentist today (yes, we just happened to go to the dentist today!), they made comment about how they couldn't believe it was even still there. :) Daddy helped it along a bit today. It needed to come out, for sure. Speaking of teeth, Logan also has his top two 6 year molars coming in. They've been coming in for a while now, for a few months. They are such big whopper teeth! No sign of the bottom ones yet, but within the next half year or so, they will be showing up, too. Logan is doing great in school. We found out at parent teacher conferences that he is in the 2nd highest levels for reading and math. He isn't in the top level of math (which would be second grade math), as he doesn't tell time yet and that is a requirement for 2nd grade. And he isn't in the highest reading group, as writing is part of reading, and he struggles with writing. He does read very well, though. I love to listen to Logan read chapter books. It's amazing to me that he can read like that in first grade, since when I was in first grade I read "See Spot go. Dick and Jane go up the hill. See Dick go." sort of things. We think he is being challenged, and he likes his teacher and his new friends. His favorite friend in class is Orion. Today was Logan's first day of chess club. Handily, Orion is in chess club, too. Now it's time for us to go buy a chess set so we can play!!
Q continues to be the cutest Q on earth. He is talking more and more and more. He makes simple sentences like "School Bus ... all gone!" and "Cat ... all gone!". :) Q learns tons of new words each day, and he is so cute when he says them in his sweet voice. Otherwise, Q is a big and dexterous boy. He likes to keep up with his brothers. Anything they are doing or like, so does he. They are three peas in a pod, these brothers! Q and Bub had their first music class today. Bub attended when he was 1 year old (and earlier, with Logan), but we haven't gone in a while. Both boys really enjoyed the class! :)
Bub enjoys preschool and his friends. Especially his best friend Jude and his brothers. :) It is such a joy to see him interacting and enjoying his friends (and his brothers!). :) I love to hear the Bub talk because you never know what he might say. He thinks the funniest things, and will share them out of the blue. In school, Bub is learning to write his letters. He has known his letters for some time, but they are working on writing them. Bub is really warming up to the Q. At first, when Logan went off to school, I don't think Dominic was too happy about it. But now, he and Q are best buddies. They play and laugh together all day (when they aren't fighting over something and beating each other up, that is!! >:D).
All the boys continue to be in swim classes. Q just started about a few weeks ago, and seems to be doing well as long as I hide from view. :) And the new karate session starts for the older boys tomorrow. Yes, we keep busy! At least, Logan vetoed soccer so that is one less activity to do. However, RE starts next week, so there is that. And we are trying to get Logan into piano lessons, but haven't set it up yet. :)
