Fond Farewell

Well, today is the day... Grandma and Grandpa have left! We are super bummed to see them go, but we had an awesome visit with everyone!!! We count ourselves fortunate that Mike and Sherry are staying for the winter!! We were getting spoiled having our family nearby! :)

Tonight we celebrated Mike's birthday one day early so Mom and Dad could attend. We enjoyed burgers on the grill and an ice cream cake from Cold Stone. Yum! :) We made sure to put the appropriate number of candles on Mike's cake (plus one for good luck, of course!!! :D), so it made for quite the flaming spectacle.

Now, its back to normal life. The holidays are over. :( We had such a great time despite our own illnesses, Logan's illness, and the illness of my nieces, Mom, and Sherry! :P 'Tis the season to be sick, I guess! :O We've decided that it is super scary for Logan to get sick. :( Its one thing for one of us to miserable and suffering, its another thing altogether for the little man to be suffering! :( After all the trouble (going to the doctor, their attempted catheter), it seems that his sickness is viral (of COURSE!!!). ;) Little man is finally feeling better, though maybe not entirely himself. He only had one day with a fever spike of 102F, thank goodness.

Little man continues his quest for mobility. He still cannot crawl properly, but he can sit up like a champ (from lying down to sitting up), and he can pretty much get where he wants to go with the combination of brute force lunging, rolling, bouncing, and dragging. :) Logan can stand up by himself in the crib and on some furniture.
