Its Raining, Its Pouring!!!

Woo HOOO! It is raining. And something fierce! I love it!! Pod doesn't know what to think about it. It is raining soooo hard. Really coming down. :) Since it doesn't happen often, we need to enjoy it. Its an honest to goodness thunderstorm with lots of lightening and booming thunder! :) And the storm even came conveniently in the afternoon, after we were already home from Mom's group (Logan weighed in at 22lbs even - woo hooo!). At Mom's group today, Logan took his first assisted walk using a walker. He was really enjoying it, and was doing laps around the house. ;) He was also standing unassisted for so long multiple times that other Moms started commenting on it. Our little Pod is growing up fast!!! Yikes! :)

Maybe not so good today was the fact that the weed guy came (pre and post emergent). He just finished treatment when the storm started. And the rain has been going nonstop for almost an hour. Likely, the post emergent existing weed killer will have to be reapplied. Rats! Hopefully the preemergent won't all wash away! It does need some water, but... !

Its been a fun week. On Monday, we met up with Chris, Ang and Kyra for dim sum. Tuesday was Moms group and grocery shopping. Wednesday, we met up with Beth, Abby, and Braedon at their house for a playdate. Busy busy!! Yesterday night, we went out with Uncle Mike and Aunt Sherry to a fun Mexican restaurant. Pod behaved reasonably well. He feasted on some of Mama's chimichanga and beans! :)

At right is Logan standing on his tippy toes looking at the weed guy applying chemicals in the back yard. So interesting! ;)

One other good thing about the rain... it was cool out today. Logan and I did yard work this morning. It was only 68F! Yippee! This was welcome after this past week's unseasonably warm weather!
